Discovery Land Director Training Weekend
A full weekend of hands-on, interactive training for Discovery Land Directors and their top leaders. Each day and session builds on the previous. Be a part of this exciting weekend at the Discovery Land “kid lab” in Appleton, Wisconsin! Follow the EXPLORE track to learn everything you need to know about what it looks like to use the Discovery Land child discipleship program. And if you’ve already decided to partner with DL, you can bump up to the LEARN track and end the weekend trained and equipped to get started! Are you an experienced DL director who has gone through the basic training? Follow the GROW track to connect with other leaders and expand your leadership skills.
The following meals are included in your registration fee: Friday night dinner, Saturday lunch, Sunday lunch. Snacks will also be provided. All other meals are on your own.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to stay the entire weekend?
We’d love to have everyone stay for the entire schedule. Sunday is optional for all, but we have learned that it is really inspiring and encouraging to see DL in action at Alliance Church – Appleton. We will also be visiting DL on a smaller scale at their Hortonville location. We hope you can be there! At minimum:
New directors should attend Fri. and Sat.
Returning directors should attend Saturday.
Does it cost less if I don’t attend all weekend?
Obviously we love kids – we’ve dedicated our lives to serving them! However, for this event, The cost is $40/person no matter how much of the weekend you are attending.
What should I wear?
This is an informal training event. Feel free to dress casually. For the worship service on Sunday, you will see people at Alliance Church – Appleton dressed in everything from jeans to suits. Wear whatever is most comfortable for you on a Sunday morning.
Can I bring my kids?
Obviously we love kids – we’ve dedicated our lives to serving them! However, for this event, we ask that you make other arrangements for your children so that those attending can remain focused.
